Untreated emerald weighing 887 carats, is the leading lot at Guernsey's auction in New York in April.
Gem, called "La Gloria", is one of the largest emeralds museum quality in the world, according to the auction house.
The stone was mined at the mine Muzo (Muzo) in Colombia and purchased Manuel Marcial de Gomar, a veteran trade business gems and founder Emeralds International.
Several rough and polished emeralds, which gathered De Gomar, will also be available for purchase, including the stone called "Marcial de Gomar Star". It was his Guernsey's considered the largest of emeralds with asterism and one of the 11 stones like him in the world.

The Diamond Producers Association (DPA) announced the appointment of Jean-Marc Lieberherr as chairman and Stephen Lussier as deputy chairman of the organization, according to a press release received on Rough & Polished on Monday. Both appointments take effect immediately. DPA also announced the appointment of Sally Morrison (Sally Morrison) as managing director of marketing since October 19, 2015.
Jean-Marc Lieberher is the managing director of the diamond business of Rio Tinto, while Steven Loussier is the CEO of the Forevermark brand, owned by De Beers Group.
Sally Morrison came to DPA from the World Gold Council, Where she worked as managing director for marketing and jewelry. While in New York, she will be responsible for all DPA marketing activities, including the appointment of a partner agency.
Prior to joining the World Gold Council, Sally Morrison gained in-depth knowledge in the field of diamond marketing, working in the executive positions of the marketing company JWT on behalf of the De Beers Group.
In connection with this appointment, Jean-Marc Lieberher said: "Sally will bring to DPA an impressive and profound experience of diamond marketing.
