Foundation for the fancy colored diamonds (Fancy Color Research Foundation, FCRF) announced the launch of the first in the history of an industry rarity diamond evaluation mechanism FCRE. Owners have the opportunity to evaluate the rare stones in yellow, pink and blue colors based on their weight, color, clarity and shape. FCRE enables the assessment of the diamond range, annually produced in the mines - from the ordinary to the "special" stones.
Colored diamonds have long been valued for their unique physical quality and rarity. During the last decades colored diamonds at sale certificate accompanied laboratory, for example, by GIA. Document contains important information about the physical diamond data, but does not provide information about the extent of their rarity. For this reason, collectors and investors depend on the information provided by the miners, auctioneers, retailers and wholesalers.
In partnership with high-end jewelers FCRF plans to introduce a rarity certificates, which will be accompanied by diamonds starting from the 4th quarter of 2016.
In FCRF believe that the information and transparency will contribute to the perception of consumers of colored diamonds.
FCRF launches its important project at the request of jewelers and institutional investors to provide them with high-quality data on the rarity of the stones.
