The company DDA Trading, which is responsible for sales and marketing of diamonds, announced the preparation of a new auction, which will be offered about 25 000 carats of diamonds from the field Lera (Lerala) in Botswana.
At the auction, which will take place from 19 to 26 September, the original production of ordinary mine will be offered, according to IDEX Online.
Production at Lera, owned by Kimberley Diamonds, was renewed in April this year after the conclusion of the contract sum of $ 47 million with Basil Read from South Africa to develop a project open way.
As reported in the Kimberley, to date production at Lera was 27,597 carats.
In the first auction of diamonds with this project, the stones were sold in an average of $ 98 per carat.
Over the next seven years, Kimberley plans to increase annual production of diamonds Lera to 360 000 carats.
