Pangolin Diamonds reported that after drilling several wells on its wholly-owned diamond project Motlutse (Motloutse) in Botswana was not crossed any kimberlite.
However, the company still remains optimistic about the possibility of finding kimberlite on Motlutse.
Drilling results have allowed to exclude certain types of magnetic anomalies of further project development program and provided the opportunity for a more targeted selection of targets.
"Further surface work, including detailed soil sampling, ground gravity and magnetic survey, carried out in a continued effort to detect abnormal concentrations of positive sources of kimberlite indicator minerals found on the surface of the earth," - noted in the Pangolin.
"In addition, started exploration work program consisting of soil sampling and ground magnetic survey, designed to more accurately determine the size of the known diamond deposits within the area licensed for research," - continued the company.
Motlutse project covers the territory where in 1959, diamonds were first discovered in Botswana.
It also includes a place where De Beers has found its first diamonds in Botswana in 1962. Meanwhile, the kimberlite sources of diamonds and were identified, added to the Pangolin.

Diamcor Mining announced the start of preparation of its diamond reserves for the company's largest tender to date, at which it will offer customers about 6,800 carats of diamonds obtained at the Krone-Endora project in South Africa.
The company's statement said that among the diamonds offered within the framework of this auction, there will be approximately 2,800 stones, received and processed from October 1 to October 25 this year. The upcoming tender will be the first for the company in the third quarter of the financial year, which will end on December 31.
Among the diamonds, some precious stones will also be presented, which the company did not sell in the previous tender, the statement said Diamcor.
These stones will include 8 individual diamonds weighing 2-3 carats, as well as one special stone weighing 10, 93 carats and four separate diamonds weighing 11.72 to 18.05 carats.
"Diamonds at the tender are the result of continuous processing of material from +1.0 mm to -26 mm in size, as well as limited processing of material of various large sizes during the reporting period," the company's representatives said.
